Adapter plates / couplers
We have two different types of adapter plates / couplers available. Our full floating
coupler models where the coupler floats on bearings in the adapter so no thrust load is
placed on the motor shaft and the adapter is CNC machined of solid aluminum, and our
standard adapters with a lower budget in mind....Some vehicles have both
designs available to choose from. ALL are designed to use the original flywheel with a
clutch for manual transmissions, and use of the flexplate with torque converter
for automatic transmissions.
